Here is a fabulous rare rich red Art Deco Bakelite bracelet with disc links dating to the 1940’s. The bracelet measures 7 ½” long open and closed it measures a 7 ¼” inside circumference. It is 1” wide at the closure and graduates to 2” wide in the center. The discs are half-moon shapes each 1 ¼” long by 3/8” thick and we would say this bracelet definitely has a chunky statement look when worn. It has what they call a rod and cut groove locking mechanism which stays shut properly when it fits on the slightly snug side. Our professional opinion is that it would best fit a wrist size 6 ½” to 7” for it to stay closed properly. The bracelet is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks or heavy scratches of any kind. We’ve never seen any bracelet like this before in all the years we’ve been selling vintage Bakelite jewelry and would consider this one very rare. This big bright and chunky vintage red Bakelite bracelet is quite striking in person and would make a great addition to any woman’s bracelet jewelry collection.
