Here is a gorgeous pair of rare Art Deco Coro rhinestone dress clips and Duette pin combination dating to the 1930’s. The pin measures 2 ¾” long by 1¼” high as a pin and each separate dress clip measures 1½” high by 1¼” wide. This Duette combo has multiple clear round rhinestones, 4 baguettes and 8 rich dark red marquis prong set glass stones that complete the beautiful swirly Art Deco design. Dress clips are very versatile; they can be worn as pairs or singles on pockets, collars, t-shirts and the neckline of blouses or dresses as they were during the 30's and 40's. They can also be used to dress up a hand bag, belt or scarf as well. To remove the clips from the pin back frame you need to lift the spring clip on both ends and gently lift upwards as both clips detach from the frame. The spring-loaded clip backs work perfectly and close firmly. To reassemble as a pin, open the clip backs and gently place the open clips onto the frame and snap them shut to create the Duette pin again. The signature Coro Duette frame is marked Coro Duette and Patent #1798867 and Patent #1652188 on the spring mechanism indicating they were made in the early 1930’s. This rare Rhodium plated Coro Duette is in good vintage condition with all its original bright clear rhinestones being mentioned to be accurate. This Duette dress clip pin is very rare, hard to find in such great condition and would make a great addition to any woman’s rhinestone jewelry collection.
