Here is a stunning 14 Karat gold locket dating to the 1940’s/50’s. It measures 7/8” square by 1/8” thickness and is 1 ½” high including the bale and weighs 5.2 grams or 3.4 dwt. It has a beautifully executed lightly hammered brushed design on the front and is plain on the back. There is a small cabochon sapphire set in the center that creates the centerpiece of this gorgeous locket. The inside has 1 original picture frame to hold a picture in place and it is unmarked but has been professionally tested and guaranteed to be 14 Karat gold. The locket opens easily and snaps firmly shut and is in excellent vintage condition with only some very light surface scratches visible under strong magnification and consistent with age and very gentle use being mentioned to be accurate.
