Here is a beautiful rare Art Deco chunky carved black & burgundy laminated Bakelite bow or ribbon pin dating to the 1940’s. It is extremely dimensional and dramatic in design and unusually large measuring 4" long by 7/8" high and is a chunky 5/8" thick. It has a 3-dimensional hand carved and folded ribbon design forming a bow cinched at the center with a simple brass design. The middle section is a rich dark burgundy with black outer edges and it is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The pinback and lock are embedded in the Bakelite and it opens and closes properly. This rare striking rich two-tone ribbon pin is guaranteed original vintage Bakelite and would make a fine addition to any woman’s jewelry collection.
