Here is a superb Art Deco deeply carved very wide Bakelite bangle bracelet dating to the 1940's. It measures 1½” wide by ¼” thick with a 2 ½" inside diameter. It is deeply and sharply hand carved with long and short parallel and perpendicular lines and 3 cut out designs that go through to the inside of the bracelet. The color is deep butterscotch with a gorgeous original patina that has oxidized over the years to a gorgeous caramel color. This bracelet is in excellent vintage condition and has no chips or cracks only some very light surface scratches hardly noticeable but consistent with age and use being mentioned to be accurate. It is guaranteed to be vintage original American Bakelite and would make a strong addition to anyone’s vintage bracelet collection.
