Here is a rare original multi-layered signed Joseff Hollywood Art Deco pin dating to the 1940’s. This pin measures 3 ½” long by 1 ½” high and is signed JOSEFF HOLLYWOOD on a plaque attached to the back of the pin. Eugene Joseff designed much of the great fabulous jewelry seen on the big screen in Hollywood movies produced during the 1940’s/50’s and his pieces are very sort after by collectors. The early brooches were heavier because there was a lot of layered metal work on the front and also a framed back such as one this one. Also known as Joseff of Hollywood. Designed much of the fabulous jewelry you see in old movies from Hollywood's heyday in the 40's and 50's. Stunning designs. Joseff even invented a process called "Russian Gold" plating, to work with the lighting in films to reduce glare. The pin appears to have a gold-colored burnished finish adding highlights to the very dimensional detailed design work. This rare early original is in excellent vintage condition and would make a great addition to any woman’s collection.
