Old Time Santa Postcard with Embellishment

The Santa on this postcard wears the old-fashioned full length robe in dark red and a brownish-gold fur trim. In addition to the usual bag, he also carries a big basket of toys and a small Christmas tree. The monochromatic blue winter background really makes the Santa stand out. There is no sentiment printed on the card, but there is a gold embellishment that reads "A Merry Christmas". It appears to be a part of the original design of the card rather than a later addition. Back is divided and marked "Made in Germany". It has not been postally used, but does have To/From names written in pencil in the address portion.

The condition is good. At first glance it appears VG or Exc, but when held at an angle to the light there is a shiny blotch. Hard to describe and nearly invisible, but it will probably bother a serious collector. If you want it for framing, you probably won't mind it at all. I don't think it is visible at all in the photos.
