Richly Colored Gottschalk, Dreyfuss & Davis Christmas Postcard
Description:
This Gottschalk, Dreyfuss, & Davis Christmas postcard is elaborately decorated with golden bells, pink ribbons, and lush holly leaves and berries. The central flowers are violets and Hellebores niger, also known as the Christmas rose. The old-style St. Nicholas is depicted walking in a snowy landscape dressed in a long red robe. Heavy usage of gold paint. The divided back has the girl at mailbox logo which indicates that the publisher is Gottschalk, Dreyfuss, & Davis. The series number "2125" appears below the logo, and it is also imprinted with "Printed in Germany".
Condition: Excellent or Very Good. Slight corner wear. No scuffs or creases. Great color. The back contains a hand-written message and address, but was not stamped or mailed. Very clean and nice card.
