SALE PENDING Alice in Wonderland, Tweedledum, Tweedledee British Artist Jane Davies

We are offering this magnificent set of 1/12 scale porcelain doll house dolls, Alice in Wonderland with Tweedledum and Tweedledee, by renowned British doll artist, Jane Davies. Completely made by Jane Davies these little dolls are an heirloom treasure. Alice who measures 4 3/4" high is multi-jointed at the neck, arms, waist, and legs. Her beautiful porcelain face with painted features and cobalt enamel eyes are full of wonderment. She has a blonde mohair wig with a black head band and she is wearing a lovely blue dress with apron and undergarments. Her legs are porcelain with blue striped stockings and black single strap shoes.

The two little guys can be posed in so many ways because they are multi-jointed at the neck, arms, and elbows. They have a very concerned and anxious expression on their faces with one looking forward and the other glancing to the side. They are also made of porcelain and they each measure 4" tall. Curly red mohair hair peeks out from their blue baseball caps and they are wearing knit outfits consisting of a blue jacket with yellow pants.

All three dolls are in very good condition with no detectable evidence of cracks, damage, or repairs. Jane Davies signed her initials on the bottom of the sole of one doll "JSD". Her artful career has spanned over 30 years and she had been President of the National Institute of American Doll Artists from 2001-2003. Most often her dolls sell in the $300-400 range, but we are offering these for the first time on Ruby Lane for a discounted price.
