This is a lovely pair of petite giltwood brackets from Italy circa 1920-1930. They have a curved demi-lune top which measures 7 1/4" across the back X 3 1/2" deep. The apron of each bracket is quite unusual and very lovely. It is carved in a foliate design somewhat resembling fleur de li. There are two hangars on the back for ease of hanging and there also is a plaque on one stating "Palladio Made in Italy". They are in very good condition with the exception of a small chip on the back left side of each bracket. Truly it is only noticeable when turned upside down and can hardly be observed hanging on a wall.
