Red Velvet Pin Cushion in form of Violin with Cherub

This little pin cushion is so unique and beautiful that we believe it was hardly used. The red velvet is very tight and in excellent form. We especially love the little cherub perched on the edge of the frame, which is made of a gilt metal. At the top of the violin are two blue glass jewels over the barley twist metal which appears to be the strings of the violin. The bottom has three feet and a maker's mark "SF", which is photographed. Found in England this unique vintage piece is most likely from the early part of the 20th century. It measures 4" long X 1 1/2" wide.
