This miniature dressing mirror can also double as a miniature cheval mirror for a 6" doll. More common and often found is the larger version of this mirror, but this petite size is more desirable and rare. We believe it is French, circa 1880 and made from walnut with rosewood inlay banding. What enables us to call this a dressing mirror is the smaller size and flat curved base which it is set into. The mirror has a curved top and is secured in such a way that it swivels. The mirror also has a wood backing and is attached to two exquisitely carved posts. We are displaying it on the top of a dresser with our French fashion, taking a look at her bonnet. But we are also showing it with a 6" doll, viewing her entire dress. As lovely as they all work together, we are only offering the mirror for sale at this time.
The approximate overall measurements are: 7" high X 5 1/2" wide.
