This miniature French lithograph tin canister is beautifully decorated in colorful graphics in its entirety with different designs all around. The lid includes a picture of an Asian woman sipping a cup of tea with the words, "THE IMPERATOR". At the bottom of the lid it says, "Marque Deposee" with a logo of the manufacturer in the corner. It appears to be an "A" and "B" intertwined. The front of the tin shows an Asian lady pouring a cup of tea and the back of the tin shows her with a fan. Each side is decorated with Asian floral designs. Miniature tins in such wonderful condition are rare and difficult to find. They are a wonderful addition to doll house kitchens, room boxes, or vignettes. This tin was most likely made in France for the Asian market turn of the century.
The approximate measurements are: 1 1/4" wide X 1" deep X 2 1/4" high
