Miniature German Broken Arch Tall Case Clock

We would like to offer for your consideration this broken arch tall case clock, which is the perfect size for a 12"- 15" doll. The clock mechanism is marked "Swiss Made" on the back with the inscription, "IDIV 55 SEC 24 HR". The face of the clock is marked "Made in Germany" at the bottom and "Meccedes" in the center. Perhaps that is the name of the manufacturer. It appears to need a battery in the back and so it is not working at this time. The cabinet is solid mahogany and the workmanship of the cabinet is outstanding. The center is designed with a lighter shade of inlay to represent a sunburst. The corners are similarly designed with inlay to complement the center medallion. Surrounding the clock face and also the base is banding with string inlay. The top arch appears to have been repaired at some time in the past. In the center of the arch there is a hole, which indicates that there may have been a small pediment. Those are the only flaws that were apparent to us. Overall, a tall case clock establishes a grand presence in a room setting and this clock is the most impressive one that we have seen.

The overall measurements are: 18" high X 4 3/4" wide at the base X 2 1/2" deep.
