French Miniature Doll House Fire Screen
This is a most remarkable miniature screen which can be displayed in a larger than standard doll house fireplace or in a prominent room setting or vignette. Made of metal with a silvered finish, it tells a beautiful story in exquisitely detailed relief on both sides. The first side illustrates two Grecian ladies tending to a small tree in a pot. The reverse side shows a small child leaning against a tall tree, pondering a little flower in her hands. Could she possibly be wondering when the tree was planted and by whom? It is signed by the artist, Daniel Dupuis. The workmanship along with the story is magnificent. It dates from the latter part of the 19th century. We have never seen such a magnificent screen as this. We are showing it in a doll house room with a doll house doll, but only the screen is available for sale at this time.
The approximate measurements are: 2 1/2" wide X 4 1/2" high.
