This Austrian Enamel Wine Set is beautiful and rare.It is shown in a large scale doll house parlor, but would also be a wonderful addition for a French doll vignette. The rich burgundy enamel is brilliant and hardly ever found. All the handpainted scenes are in the 18th century Romantic Style and intricately detailed. The wine carafe has a different scene on the front and the back. On one side a seated lady is holding a hat facing a reclining gentleman. On the other side, the seated lady if offering a laurel wreath to the gentleman. The base and top rim are sterling. The silver may have been gilt washed, viewing the golden hue on the base, also revealing a hallmark. The stopper is also richly detailed. Each of the three wine goblets have different handpainted scenes of a seated lady. In one scene, she is holding a fan. The goblets are also rimmed with sterling and there are hallmarks evident on the rims. One of the goblets has a small bit of enamel that has chipped off. The backs and base of the goblets are ornately decorated in a gilt pattern.
The measurements of this wine set are: carafe including stopper is 2 3/4" tall and each of the goblets are 1 1/4" tall.
