This is a vintage sterling silver Siam Niello brooch with an ornate cut-out design on one half which displays Mekkala, the goddess of lightning, and represents the Thai version of Ramaygana an ancient sanskrit epic from a Hindu religious tale. This tale had a profound impact on the art and culture of Thailand. Pre 1939.
