1940's Spalding Jim Tabor Split Finger Baseball Glove-RARE

A nice example of this Spalding split finger glove. A nice big glove measuring about 10 1/2" in height and 11 1/2" in width. Designated as "Very Rare" in the price guide. There is a Spalding logo stamped in the heel of the glove with 248, on the outside of the thumb it's marked U.S. PAT. NO. 1624606 WORLD SERIES MODEL. There is some seperation to the stitching on the piece of leather next to the thumb, in the palm of the glove, but nothing major. There is a Spalding stamp on the back strap, along with a nice Spalding trademark metal button. On the inside of the glove is the marking, hand formed pattern. THere is some wear to the piping. Circa. 1930's.
