Oneida Community bird of Paradise Soup Ladle
The Bird of Paradise silver plate pattern was introduced by Oneida in 1923 and quickly became a favorite of brides during the Art Deco period. It is a stunning pattern with an inset of two perched birds on the handle. It is 11" long and in very good condition. There are no dings, dents, or plate wear to the base metal however the inside of the bowl shows noticeable use. It has a rather heavy patina of utensil marks and has been priced accordingly. Some of the pictures make the ladle look tarnished. That is due to photographic artifact. The ladle has been gently hand polished. Soup ladles in Oneida patterns from this era are hard to find. The ladle is marked on the reverse as shown. We are offering free shipping on this piece for our continental U.S. clients. Shipping and insurance for others will vary by location.
