T & V Limoge Superb Hand Painted Fish Platter, Signed Duval

This Tressemanes & Vogt 11 1/4" diameter fish tray or platter is stunning. The Tressemanes & Vogt(T&V) Limoge factory produced exquisitely decorated china from 1891 to 1919 when the factory changed hands. As a testimony to their preeminence they were commissioned to produce the Benjamin Harrison White House china service which is often credited as being one of the most beautiful ever made. We are assuming this is a tray because it has has a 1/2" lip around the edge. The center features two fish in a pond with purple irises on the bank. The tray is signed Duval, a highly regarded Limoge china painter. It is marked on the reverse as shown with the two marks for 1892-1907 and 1907-1919 as well as the hand painted banner mark. The tray is is excellent condition overall. There are no cracks, chips, or crazing. There are some surface scratches near the smaller fish as shown and there is some wear to the gold trim on the very outer edge. We are offering free shipping on this item.
