Huge Spode Blue Tower Jug, Old Mark

This is the largest of this particular style of jugs that was produced in the Tower pattern. It is 8 1/2" tall and holds 112 oz. The diameter of the opening is 5 3/8". It is massive and weighs 4 pounds. Tower is one of Spode's oldest designs dating to 1835. The jug is in excellent condition overall. There are no chips or crazing. There is a glaze pop on the interior of the spout and there is a "crow's foot' hairline visible on the inside and the base. It does not go through to the outside. The jug rings when it is tapped. The color is deep and rich. It is marked on the bottom as shown with the early factory mark. The number 6 is impressed as well. There is no alphabet/number date mark. Please e-mail us if you have any questions. This is truly a magnificent jug despite the blemishes noted. We have been in business for 30 years. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
