This 8 1/4" Prattware plate is unsigned and not titled. It was made by F. & R. Pratt & Co., Fenton Potteries, Staffordshire, on their standard "123" pattern border with a green rim. It dates from the mid to late 19th century and marked on the back "No123", which refers to the border style. It features a shepherdess sitting pensively with cows and sheep with castle ruins in the background. The plate is in excellent condition overall with no cracks or chips. The gold trim is not worn. There are small 1/8" and pin point flecks on the green border and the back shows a fine overall crazing with minor staining. Nonetheless, this is still a very attractive plate that displays well.
