French watercolor original antique landscape Just Becquet, beautiful rare painting

Purchased and shipped from France direct to David Aust Design, this watercolor conveys the warm calm of the French countryside. A beautiful and balanced work by the popular young friend of Whistler. Just Becquet (1829-1907) is the beloved French sculptor of "Numismatique" and "Joseph in Egypt". His statues stand today proudly about the city of Paris, and some of his works are held by the Louvre.

The work is approximately 9 by 11 inches in size. It was sent from France by the seller, directly to me in Massachusetts.

This painting includes Museum quality conservation framing with UV glass and double matting by Randi Isaacson.
