Albert Weiss was the founder of the Albert Weiss & Company Inc. New York City in 1942. The company found great prosperity during the 1950s and 1960s. Weiss, a former CORO employee, made high quality costume jewelry using rhinestones of exceptional quality and clarity. The company went out of business in 1971 however his jewelry continues to be highly sought after by collectors.
