Vintage AB Rich Purple/Clear Rhinestone Earrings Stamped Japan

Here are a pair of Vintage AB Rich Purple/ Clear Rhinestone gold tone clip earrings - The pictures do not do these earrings justice! The spectacular glitter of color reflecting off of these earrings as the light dances across them is awesome! They are made in two levels. Fourteen clear rhinestones swoop in a 'u' shape and engulf 8 deep purple stones for the first level. The second level is a wheel shaped with 6 deep purple baguettes and 6 small chatons. Three purple baguettes and 4 purple chatons make up the spokes of the wheel. Lifting up the clip hook on the back you can see that the second level stone backings are open. Each stone is prong-set. The entire backing is a gold tone, maybe brass. The work done on these earrings is intricate and skillfully crafted. In my search to find the designer of these earrings marked Japan, I have yet to find the same or a similar pair. Please let me know if anyone recognizes them.

These beautiful clip-on earrings are 1 1/2" at the highest point and about 1" wide. They are in excellent condition and I believe they are a product of the 1960's. One of the earrings has a very slight looseness however the hook that holds this 2 level earring together is secure. The clips work perfectly.
