This is a vintage Jack in the Pulpit vase, also known as a Tulip Vase. The piece measures 6 1/8 inches high by 4 1/8 inches at the widest section. The blue green glass has milky white opalescent touches in the flower with accents of pink amber. The pattern changes to a turned Deco lattice design suggesting a stem on the base. The piece is unsigned but has a rough pontil mark on the bottom that can be seen and felt. This is a hand blown piece probably c. 1930. Vases like this became very popular in the early 1900s in the U.S. Ours is in very good condition with no damage and several bubbles that can be seen only under magnification. Two other areas can be seen that look like chips but are actually within the glass. This item beautifully reflects the workmanship and the style of the period.
