Pressed Glass Platter In Remembrance 1880s

This magnificent clear pressed glass platter was issued in remembrance of the assassination of President Garfield in 1881. Pictured are Garfield, Washington, and Lincoln. The words that are embossed are "In Remembrance" across the top and "God Reigns, First in Peace, Charity for All" beneath each face. The plate measures 12 ½ inches by 10 inches and is raised one inch. The piece has an elaborate design and is in good condition. There are some rough fleabite spots on the inside of the raised rim but no obvious chips, cracks or repairs. Great piece of Americana!
