Pictured are three matching lovely huck linen with damask design hand towels measuring 19 inches by 14 inches. These towels are a fine example of the type of towels set out for overnight guests before the invention of Turkish toweling in the 1920s. Each towel has an elaborate design on the front with a different design on the back of the towel. On the front there is an oval in which a monogram could be placed. Bordering the oval is a lovely floral design. On the back of the towel there is a straight work design of florals and scrolls that is so Victorian! The three towels are in very good condition with no rips, stains or other visible damage. The towels have been freshly laundered and pressed and are ready for you to enjoy, or to set out for guests as was done over 100 years ago.
