Vintage Hand Painted Bird Figurine Gerold Porcelain Bavaria Germany 6122 marked

This is an exquisite figure of a cream colored bird perched on a branch with wings outstretched. His head and wings are lightly accented with pink. His hand painted decoration is completed with accents of a bronze brown. The piece measures 4 ½ inches high by 4 ½ inches wide and is fully marked on the bottom with "Gerold Porzellan Bavaria Germany". I believe this mark dates the piece to @1960. It is also incised with the design number "6122". This figure is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This is a lovely vintage bird for your collection!

Notes: Gerold Porcelain was founded in the early 1900s in Tettau, Bavaria, Germany and operated throughout the changes in Germany after WWII until 1997 making wonderful hand painted pieces.
