This is a great little silver cigarette/card case with a spider and spider's web-the bonus round--the spider's body is made of 2 sapphires! We've not tested the stones to determine if they are natural or synthetic, but either way, it makes for a very cool piece! The case is circa early 1900's Germany (a crown in a moon) and bears an 800 standard silver mark, but no maker's marks. The piece measures 3 1/2" by 1 3/4" and weighs 58 grams or just under 2 oz troy.
Condition is excellent, with no dents or dings; closes well with a strong spring; interior retains some of original gilding, as well as hallmarks along inner rim. Other than some very fine surface scratches and wear use, the case is super.
