A really nice Continental silver cigarette or card case with blue and white enamel work and a portrait medallion on porcelain of an Egyptian Queen or Goddess in full head dress. Greek key enamel work is in perfect condition-no losses-portrait has a couple of very small surface scratches, and if looked at through a jeweler's loupe, you can see a tiny spot of a crack at the very outer edge of the portrait, lower left. Both front and back are beautifully machine turned; there is a tiny area of uneven surface on the back side of the case. The interior is beautifully gilded, and has a date of 18.7.21 left lower interior; the right interior has various signatures of who had to be the presenters of this special piece-some with dates between 1921 and 1923. The case is probably Austrian, but could be of German origin; the only standard mark on the edge is either 800 or 900-impossible to read due to the way it was stamped. This piece measures 3 3/8" by 2" and weighs 84 grams or 2.7 oz troy. Great piece.
