A nice earlier art deco era vase in the 'Ormeaux' pattern by French maker Rene Lalique, introduced in 1926, and can be found in Marcilhac, page 495. This leafy example has a sepia patina, which makes it even more eye-catching. Measuring 6 1/2" tall, the foot is 3 3/4" wide; the vase has a mouth width of 2 1/2". The piece is signed on the bottom as pictured, with a raised, moulded signature.
Condition is excellent, with a couple of small areas of staining on the interior area near the base; No chips or cracks-there are a couple of the tiniest pin tip sized flea bites along the outer rim of the mouth, but only if a 10x jeweler's loupe is used to visualize them. Inner sepia patina is a bit uneven in places-a normal find in these old original pieces, but not a detractor.
