Lovely Limoges Sauce Boat with Under Plate. White porcelain with gold trim and large orange poppy flowers. Both pieces have the Coiffe Limoges France Mark as shown, known by collectors and dealers as Mark 3. It was used c.1891-1914. The Coiffe factory made many porcelain blanks decorated by other companies. Coiffe blanks were also exported to the United States for use by both novice and professional china painters at the turn of the last century. This piece is artist signed on the side of the sauce boat, as shown.
The sauce boat measures 5.5" across the top and sits 2.5" high to the top of the spout, 3.5" to the top of the handle. The Under plate is 7.5" x 5.25".
Condition: No chips, cracks, or crazing. Some gold wear. Clear shine to the glaze. No scratches. Vibrant bright colors.
