Aesthetic Red Transfer Ironstone Platter by John Meir & Son, c. 1837-97.

Measures 12" x 16.25" with a 2" wide edge that then slopes down to the center. Impressed and and transfer mark on reverse.

One small rough spot on under edge. Two small spots on front where glaze has chipped off and small crack near slope. No stains. There is crazing.

Lovely pattern. Great piece for display on a stand or hanging on a wall.
