This beautiful bowl is 12 inches x 8 inches and has an oval shape. The pattern is New Jersey, (U.S. Glass #15070) also known as Loops and Drops. This pattern was produced by U.S. Glass Co. between 1900-1908 at factories D, F, and G. (p. 342 Reilly & Jenks. It is made of thick heavy pressed glass.
The pattern features 12 zippered loops filled with glittering diamond buttons around the scalloped rim, alternating with 12 clear drops with the largest part of the drop at the bottom. The edge along the base of the bowl is scalloped as well. At the bottom of each of the filled loops, there is a 4-rayed fan. The base of the bowl has a large rayed sunburst which covers the entire bottom.
This bowl is still in very good condition with no chips or cracks and no fleabites along the rim. There is a scratch mark on the bottom of the bowl. It is visible in one of the photos. This is not unusual for a piece of glass this old. The bowl has been black light tested and fluoresces green under the UV.
The bowl will be shipped via FedEx Ground since it weighs 3.8 pounds without packing. Please do not pay until I send you a final statement.
