Free Form French Lead Crystal Center Piece Sculpture

This beautiful piece of art glass is hand blown and fire polished. The piece is very large. It is 14 inches tall, 9 inches wide and about 2.5 to 3 inches deep. The piece is Studio Art. The Studio Art movement began in the U.S. in 1962 when a method was discovered to make molten glass available to artists working in private studios. The movement quickly spread to European countries.

The bottom is acid etch marked COFRAC Art Verrier. COFRAC is an accreditation stamp granted by the French Accreditation Committee, established in 1994. The stamp is similar to the U.S. Good Housekeeping seal of approval. Verriers is in the Normandy Region of France.

There is one tiny chip on the underside of the piece.
