Cruet Set 2 Doric Feather Swirl McKee Glass 1890-1905 EAPG

These two cruets were made between 1896-1910. This pattern is Doric, made by McKee Glass. McKee introduced the pattern in 1896 and stopped production in 1905. The pattern has many different names: Feather Swirl, Indiana Swirl; Feather; Prince's Feather; and Swirl.

Columns of clear glass, zippers and daisies alternate to form swirls around the sides of the cruets. There is a small feather fan at the top of each of the swirled columns. The necks have fluted bands separated from the main body by a narrow horizontal band of clear glass. The zipper pattern is repeated on each side of the handles.

The cruets have pontil marks on the bottom indicating they were mold blown glass. The stoppers are faceted.
