Handpainted Nippon Plate Fruit Painting 1891-1921

This is a very nice plate with a painting of fruit. The plate is a creamy off white color and has a gold rim. The gold rim is still in good condition. The colors are cheerful and there are shades of blue that blend into each other. The plate was handpainted and made in Japan between 1891-1921. The marking on the back of the plate is the green crown. According to Joan Van Patten's book Nippon Porcelain, this is mark #10 and is an indication of higher quality porcelain.
