Hair Receiver or Dresser Jar Nippon

This hair receiver or dresser jar is handpainted with a floral design featuring white moriage, pink flowers, green leaves, and a gold with wine color pattern. The jar is 1.5 inches deep by 3 inches across the top. The jar opening is 1.5 inches across. The bottom stamp on this piece is Mark 919 or "Made in Japan over two characters indicating this is a Bibi product. This was made during the 1930s. Bibi was an importer. The company imported porcelain from Japan and sold to the Middle East during the 1950s-1960s. The company may have had a porcelain import business in Palestine in the 1930s-1940s before being forced to flee in 1947. There is normal bottom wear to the piece. There are no chips or cracks.
