Noritake Azalea Cream Sugar Handpainted Japan
This Azalea pattern cream and sugar set is handpainted. It has pink Azaleas on white porcelain with a gold trim. The raised pistils make this a stunning pattern. This is Noritake pattern 19322. The pieces were made in Japan.
The backstamp is green with the Noritake wreath surrounding the letter "M"; handpainted, made in Japan, with a row of Japanese letters and pattern number 19322 is beneath the wreath." The covered sugar bowl and matching creamer set is about 3 inches tall.
With the exception of minimal wear to the bottom of the sugar bowl, and minimal wear to the gold rim around the top and edges on the creamer, the set is in very good condition. The backstamp on the bottom of the sugar is faded. The green backstamp dates 1921-1934. After 1941, the Azalea pattern was not produced in Japan. There are no chips or cracks.
