Crystal Covered Sugar Bowl 808 EAPG Indiana1895-1902

The Eight O Eight pattern was made by Model Flint Glass Co. between 1895-1902. This is a beautiful piece of pattern glass with etched floral leaves on the side of the bowl above deep miter cuts which form the pattern. This pattern is also known as Indiana but is probably better known as 808 because the pattern looks like the numbers. The glass is very clear and has a pontil mark on the bottom. The sugar bowl is 6 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide.

There is a minimal fleabite on the bottom the lid part which sits inside the jar. There is also some roughness along the rim of a couple of the miter lines. The roughness can be felt better than seen. This pattern was and still is one of Model Flint's most popular patterns. Overall this is still a beautiful piece of glass and none of the flaws mentioned detract from its appearance.
