Master Salt with Salt Shovel Bryce Higbee 1880s EAPG

This master salt dip with salt shovel was made in the 1880s. The salt dish has a pedestal base. It is 2.25 inches tall and 2-7/8 inches across. The dish was made by Bryce Higbee & Co. and features the Alaric or Butterfly Ears pattern. The pattern was made in an extended table service. This is a 2 part mold pressed piece with some flint.

There is some roughness around the top rim, but it can be felt more than seen without a magnifying glass. The base has a recessed 12 petal floral design. The salt shovel is made of glass as well and is in good condition.

The piece has been black light tested and fluoresces under the UV.
