This is a rare John Hardy heavy sterling silver pendant.
The focal point of this great Hardy piece is a raised and hammered oval cabochon of sterling silver surrounded with braided sterling and a small point of silver at the bottom.
The reverse side is really a work of Hardy art...it has silver cut-outs of an erupting volcano and a man on one knee with a hammer in mid-air. Amazing dimensional aspect with the silver work cut-outs here.
The Hardy logo is encircled at the bottom next to another small circle that says 925.
This pendant measures 1.50 inches long and the same across and weighs 12.95 grams of silver.
The bail has the same braided rope design that surrounds the oval cabochon and measures 4mm X 6mm. It will accommodate a substantial chain and looks amazing on a silver hard-wire or omega. A black leather cord gives this a drop-dead gorgeous look, really brings out the oxidized look.
