Beautiful set of 12 T&V Limoges Hand painted floral Dinner Plates c 1907-1919
Vintage Limoges T&V 10" Dinner Plates with wonderful designs of Pink roses highlighted with pale green details and a fine gold edge.. There is a lot of gold scroll work which elegantly highlights the vibrant pink bouquets of roses over a white porcelain plate.
All are marked with a backstamp Limoges and T&V Marks shown here are circa 1907-1919, with both a green rectangular underglaze T&V white ware mark and a red bell overglaze decorating mark.
The Plates are in very good condition considering they are over 100 years old no cracks or chips noted, very light wear noted to the gold edge of plates, the pattern and finish are intact, there are a couple small bubbles in the finish on a couple plates which appears to be part of the manufacturing process. The plates do not have signs of heavy use, very little wear noted.
Tressemann & Vogt was one of many factories doing business in Limoges, France at the turn of the last century. They produced many pieces of white ware that were decorated elsewhere and decorated porcelain as well. Some references show Tressemanes spelling vs. Tressemann.
