Here is one of the most lovely dinner plate from a very well respected porcelain manufacturers for many years. Herend Porcelain has been in business since 1839.
This beautiful dinner plate is 11 inch in diameter and the pattern is "Queen Victoria" The plate description starts with a crisp white background. The scalloped edge is gold with a gorgeous green and more gold plus a basket weave raised design around the top rim adding much interest. The design of the hand painted flowers, leaves and butterflies are exquisite in detail and color. The pinks, blues, yellows and purples enhance the beauty of the craftsmanship and detail of this piece. The butterflies appear to be in motion. On the underside their are three little flowers also hand-painted which I just find delightful. Herend porcelain is know for their quality so you should not be afraid to use this plate.
The edge of the gold rim shows a little ware just to some of the points of the scalloped. This plate is in very good vintage condition.
The hallmark on the back dates this wonderful plate 1915-1930s from Hungary.
A stunning example of quality and elegance for you to treasure and for generations to follow.
