Hattie Carnegie Vintage Beaver Hat

This could only be a Hattie Carnegie hat. A one of a kind magnificent fawn color Beaver cloche style with rows of black silk knots trimming the entire hat. The fringe is narrow in the back and widens to three rows to the center front. There are black silk knots that dandle from the fringe. The inside lining is black silk. The size is approx. 7 1/4 inches.

The established Montaldo's department store of North Carolina tag is on the inside along with one of Hattie's labels. This hat is in excellent vintage condition

The "Carnegie Look" was a sophisticated simplification of European design favored by American society. Hattie Carnegie is very often associated with elegance and high fashion.
