A Pouyat, Limoges floral decorated teapot, ca. 1876-1890. The body of the teapot is white with molded wavy ribs, raised floral decoration with gold accents and floral decoration in blue, yellow, green and brown. Both the base and upper rim are trimmed in gold. It has a scroll handle with scalloped grip with gold accents. The spout has a scroll base with gold accents. The pot has a domed lid with scroll finial, raised floral decoration with gold trim, the same floral decoration as the body and gold trim on the lid rim. The teapot stands approximately 8 3/4 inches tall at the finial. It bears the Pouyat factory mark in green and the Pouyat decorating mark in red on the bottom. The teapot is in excellent condition with no crack, chips or discernible damage.
