This rare vintage Hermes "LE TIMBALIER" silk scarf was designed by Francoise Heron and was originally issued in 1961. It features the "Timbalier", or horse-drummer, in action sitting on his decorated mount and offers a beautiful mixture of blue, white and brown tones. It carries the copyright symbol in the corner, so this version is likely a re-issue from the 70s or 80s.
It is made of 100% silk with hand-rolled and hand-stitched hems that are plump and in like new condition. The tag is still attached indicating it was made in France and is 100% silk. It measures approximately 35" x 35". Overall it is in excellent condition.
We will happily send more photos. Chanel medallion and necklaces shown in the photographs are sold separately.
