Perigine falcon/Apomada falcon 2 sided print Rex Brasher

The painting comprising the Birds and Trees of North America, by Rex Brasher were published by him in an edition of 100 copies hand-coloured by the Artist in 1932.

Roman & Littlefield, Inc. acquired the rights to reproduce these prints from original plates in 1962. The prints are 2-sided with 1 print on each side. Each print comes with a write-up about the bird. The print size is 14" wide, 10" tall and overall is 15 3/4" x 12".

Rex Brasher was born in 1869 in Brooklyn, New York. Rex became passionate about birds at an early age, due to the influence of his father, an avid naturalist and bird taxidermist. His father had gone to John James Audubon to discuss birds, only to be snubbed. In 1878, at the age of eight, Brasher decided to paint all the birds of North America, and to do it better than Audubon. He passed away in 1960. He was 91 years of age.
