Antique make-do kerosene/oil lamp

Circa 1880's - before green was cool - thrifty people would replace broken bases of oil lamps in many unique ways to make them serviceable again. Make-do creations were not restricted to lighting. For more information on make-do lamps see Thuro's Oil Lamps Book 3, page 228.

Someone has made a wooden base and attached the font to it. The lamp is 8 inches high. The inside of the font may have some staining or just require a good cleaning.
